Porto Palácio Hotel ***** fully booked
The Porto Palácio is located in the heart of the business district of the city, with easy access to the A1 highway, 15 minutes from the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, 500 metres from the Casa da Música and 1 km from the Modern Art Museum . The hotel has 251 rooms, comprising 192 executive and 41 de deluxe rooms on the 3 top floors. On each floor we have a suite and on the three top floors are 3 de deluxe and 2 superior de deluxe rooms plus the Grand Palácio suite, totalling 18. All the rooms are recently renovated and offer new and comfortable furnishings along with the latest technology and entertainment facilities. Every room and suite is equipped with individual-controlled air-conditioning, an ergonomic mini-bar, free digital safe with laptop socket, 26" LCD screen with Internet access and Playstation, 40 cable TV channels and 228 via satellite, telephone links for fax and PC (analogical and digital) and free and unlimited Wi-Fi access. All bathrooms are marble with separate WC, heated floor and towel rack, magnifying mirror, bathrobe, slippers and Molton Brown utilities. 60% of the rooms are non-smoking. The hotel has a fully-equipped business centre in the lobby with fax, photocopier, printer and scanner. 12 meeting rooms are available for multi-purpose events with a capacity of 600 persons. Our excellent health club covers 3,200 square-metres and has all the latest fitness equipment and is great for a post-meeting work-out, body-building activities or card-fitness regimes. For something a little less strenuous, there is also a Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath and a wide range of health and beauty treatments. Dining at the hotel is the experience of a lifetime. The Executive Chef at the Madruga restaurant (who is also the official chef for the Portuguese football team) has received several awards for his regional and international cuisine. Guests are encouraged to taste some of the local gastronomy. For light meals and informal meetings the Nautilus Bar offer snacks and live music in the evenings. In 2007, the hotel is planning to open a 1,400 square-metre L`Occitaine spa, a panoramic lounge on the 19th floor and four new restaurants featuring Italian and Japanese specialities as well as gourmet cuisine.

Porto City Tour

Departure from the Congress Centre Alfândega for the Porto City Tour.
The tour starts at the Cathedral – the second oldest cathedral in Portugal (12th and 13th century).
On to Ribeira, stop for a visit to the Stock Exchange Palace, an imposing building of the 19th century and famous for its marvellous “Moorish Hall”, a reproduction of the Alhambra Palace.
The St. Francis Church was built in the 13th century in Gothic style and is famous for its superb interior in Baroque style.

Minho Tour

Departure from the Congress Centre Alfândega for a visit of the Northern Province of Portugal - Minho, one of the most beautiful and historic regions of Portugal.
First stop at Guimarães, the Nation's birthplace, including a visit to the Ducal Palace and a guided walking tour of the historical centre.
The tour proceeds to the historic Ponte de Lima Village, famous for its imposing Roman bridge and manor houses. Stop for lunch.

F.C. Porto Stadium and Sports Clinic Tour

Departure from the Congress Centre Alfândega for the Estádio do Dragão Tour.
The Estádio do Dragão is not exclusively a sports complex. It includes a conference centre, leisure facilities, shopping areas and restaurants, all linked to the public areas at different levels in the stands, which is why UEFA has classified it as a five-star stadium.
The stadium has two rotating giant screens, one at each end. On non-match days, the screens are turned to face the plaza around the stadium and the Via de Cintura Interna ring road, one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city, so that the equipment can be used to support other activities.
One of the technological innovations is the stadium's own private television channel operated by the club, showing interviews and other features around the complex.
The tour ends with the visit of the Sports Clinic.

Coimbra & Aveiro Tour

Departure for the Coimbra City tour including the University, one of the oldest in Europe.
Continuing to Buçaco, a forest planted by the Carmelita monks with one of the world's rarest flora and the magnificent Buçaco Palace Hotel, a former hunting residence of the last Portuguese king.
On to Mealhada for a visit to a local cellar with a sparkling wine tasting. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, departure to Aveiro, an interesting town crossed by canals and known as the Portuguese Venice.
